Why I post similar topics across my blogs

If I write about paying for school, I might put that post on 2 or more of my blogs. Of course it will be a totally different post but the subject matter will be similar. The same if I write about diet pills. On my Insane Random Ramblings blog I might approach it from a health and wellness […]

The thing that bothers me most about spam

This is a personal finance site. If I was getting spammed by money bloggers or people selling those scammy “make money” kits, I wouldn’t be as aggravated. But I get the drug, and/or p0rn people which is gross. I don’t know if they think the comments will get through or what.
Not on my blog buddy.

Shorter posts

I have some long posts on this blog. I’m going to try to keep my regular posts shorter. It’s easier to pound them out. And I can keep them in a series making 1 subject or topic, 2 or 3 separate posts. Of course some will be longer but not as personal.

Upgrading Wordpress

I just saw that Wordpress has another upgrade available. I usually wait until it’s been out for at least 1 week so they can work all of kinks out before I upgrade. I don’t want to have to download extra patches and security fixes or have my data compromised. The guys are generally dead on with […]

It’s time to shop around for a new host

My hosting deal is almost up. I had a 2 year agreement. However I’m not too fond of my provider. On the plus side, we have very minimal down time. I’ve only had my blogs go down once or twice that I know of. I also had a good experience with customer service although I’ve […]

If only we got paid for spam

By we I mean blog owners. And I’m not talking about the nasty gelatin meat either. I mean those stupid inane comments that people leave on your blog just to try to get back-links. It’s pretty annoying especially when you have over 100 per day to try to get rid of.
Of course I do read […]

Have you tried Social Spark yet?

You do know what SocialSpark is right? It’s the latest offering from IZEA, the people who brought you PayPerPost. There’s a big difference between the two. PayPerPost, or PPP as we call it, generally passes page rank with the links. Google frowns upon this and has generally slapped down the page rank of any blog […]

Spam and comments

I may shut the comments off on this blog. I get over 100 per day and it’s getting hard to keep up with them. First I have to go through every comment to see if it’s spam or not, which most of them are. Then I have to decide which to delete and which to […]

I’m great!

Not only am I great, I’m also the new media and what I say is extremely important. What the people reading my blog are thinking is not important right now. It’s just important that they leave me spam comments. It’s just ridiculous how much spam I get.
Luckily most of it is caught before it shows […]

I need to do blog maintenance

I need to update my sidebars among other things. I don’t have enough text widgets to put everything in my sidebars. You can only have 9 on my template and I’ve already used them all. I’ll probably start by combining things so I can add more features. There are some pre-arranged things like my recent […]

A legit way to bring in readers

Instead of being a spammer scammer, you can join legit communities of like-minded individuals. You then make friends while joining forums and chat rooms. As if that’s not enough, you can listen to mp3’s while you’re chatting with your new friends. When you join a site like join 3gb community www.3gb.biz your friends quickly become […]

I can’t believe how many spammers are out there

I’ve been getting a lot of spam comments lately. But I’m surprised at the number of scraper sites out there as well. Scrapers use your content to fill their site. They do this with any site within their niche. They get a ton of traffic and rank really high in the serps. They also make […]
